planning is a detailed process in which the best results are often achieved
through the completion of a written financial plan (either modular or
comprehensive). If, through the initial consultation process, it is determined
by the counselor that a written financial plan is warranted, it would be
recommended to the participant.

password protected website is a useful financial tool intended to address many
of your financial concerns. The website contains financial narratives, market
data, quotes, charts, portfolio tracking, financial news, financial glossary,
financial calculators, links to other useful financial sites and the email
helpdesk.
E-Mail
Helpdesk
The
e-mail help desk is intended to provide you with answers to basic
financial questions that do not require the detailed response of a personal
consultation. If a question requires more attention than an email response, then
a personal consultation will be recommended. All queries will be received by a
Financial Counselor and are strictly confidential.

Citizen Actual Fuel Group [CAFG]
Who is Citizen Action Fuel Group?
Citizen Action Fuel Group (CAFG) is a non-profit fuel buying
group that has been helping people save on their home heating fuel costs for
over 17 years using the power of group purchasing. CAFG is sponsored by Citizen
Action of New York.
In addition to the direct services CAFG provides, we have been
active in the community, working to monitor and buffer the effects of energy
deregulation in the 1990s by sponsoring local fundraising events and working
with social service agencies. In the more recent era of industry consolidation,
we're working to maintain competition in the market.
How Does Citizen Action Fuel Group Work?
CAFG is a fuel buying group that serves 22 counties in New York
State. We contract with local fuel suppliers chosen for reliable service and
negotiate low costs on behalf of our members. Suppliers are responsible for fuel
deliveries. By joining with other heating fuel users in CAFG, you too can
receive regular delivery services at the Fuel Group's discount price.
$25.00 Membership is Waived for all PEF Members in the following
counties:
Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Fulton, Genesee, Greene,
Herkimer, Jefferson, Livingston, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Oswego, Otsego,
