Whereas, Article XXIII Duties Of A Steward includes: A - communicating union news and policy to the membership at the site he/she represents and all information that comes to him/her from the union; as well as F - posting all information he/she receives from the union; and G - Recruiting new members and seeing that new employees are given the proper orientation to both their work and their union. This orientation should encourage new employees to get involved in union activities,

Therefore be it resolved, that NYS PEF shall reimburse all Divisions producing a newsletter at a maximum reimbursement rate of $.08 per page for a maximum of 16 pages per division member per year.

Financial impact: To be determined by the number of divisions choosing to participate, and the size of the newsletter they produce. Maximum financial impact for 53,000 members would be $67,840.
